It also strongly relies on support for local initiatives. If you have ideas, ambitions, needs or simply want to get involved, let us know! It is our duty to put our resources, our expertise and our network at the disposal of the community to support it. Youth and Family<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tA significant proportion of Francophones and Francophiles in Yellowknife are made up of families: a reality that is reflected in membership and programming. Several of our activities are indeed open to everyone, some are specifically aimed at children and adolescents, particularly through our schools. The AFCY is happy to support community initiatives and promote their development. \n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tArts and culture are the heart and soul of our identity and the AFCY does everything in its power to support artists. Whether through music, theatre, humor or literature, the AFCY offers a range of concerts and activities that contribute to the development of the cultural scene. For artists, we offer training, networking opportunities and above all opportunities to perform and share their know-how with the community. In order to be the meeting point for Francophones and Francophiles in Yellowknife, we are increasing gathering opportunities and trying to offer activities that meet the interests of the community. \n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tYellowknife is a vibrant city with several noteworthy festivals that the AFCY has supported for years. The \u201cFolk on the Rock\u201d festival in July is a not-to-be-missed event, as is the \u201cSnowking Festival\u201d in winter. The Long John Jamboree and the Old Town Rumble and Ride festival do not leave their place either.
